And reaching out for help is step one ...

Thank you for visiting my page. If you are seeking objective, professional, confidential, compassionate help and ready for the journey of exploration, insight, change, and growth ahead then perhaps I could be your facilitator. If you have been researching, searching, sharing with others yet change eludes you there are most likely unconscious obstacles in the way. This is the level that requires professional intervention as these obstacles in the dark are like a trickster... old patterns that are powerful and difficult to shed light on.

In psychotherapy we begin with an overview of your history and a discussion of goals in session one. In session two two we explore the issues that brought you to therapy looking for causes, next steps, meaning, perspectives, and solutions. Observing, experimenting with changes, then experimenting some more are ongoing as informal homework. My style is to be more engaged than passive, providing a process that gets results. Clients can find support, direction, meaning, acceptance, awareness, and positive change - improving relationship to self and others, and life.

The background I bring to this work is personal and professional. I had catalysts that brought me into therapy and I immersed myself in a healing journey which led me out of an HR Management career and into a new chapter of my Psychology studies. I have an M.A. in Counselling and a B.Sc. in Psychology and have been in private practice since 2001. My studies and experiences span many modalities from psychodynamic, humanistic, experiential, spiritual to clinical and brain-informed psychotherapy.

The conditions I have helped clients with over the years include:

  • Adoption and identity
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Family of origin and all types of family issues
  • Career, work, conflict management
  • Stress and lifestyle
  • (Highly Sensitive Persons)
  • Relationships, intimacy
  • Health, wellness, pain
  • Transitions- personal, developmental, circumstantial
  • Existential and spiritual emergence
  • Trauma and self-regulation

My approach is client-centered as you are the expert on you, and I prefer to not pathologize and stigmatize, since my perspective is that there are causes and contributors to the thoughts, feelings and behaviours which we find most difficult and which can become traits and labels - and yet also - which can be changed.

If this is what you are seeking, please contact me for a consultation. And if you would like to read more please visit my personal website.

I look forward to hearing from you.
